I had a bit of a meltdown in my ignition/headlight system, so I am converting the headlights to relay and such. My question is, I am putting a pushbutton starter in. I got everything figured out, except that the previous owner really raped the wiring. To engauge the starter all I have to do is supply 12v to the "s" on the solenoid and that will energize the starter correct? I have a direct feed to the coil, with a relay so thats no problem keeping the car running after its started.

12v to the S on the solenoid makes the starter go crank right?
