the only requirment is to have a mustang with a V8. me and my friend plan to have anyone who wants to join meet somewhere and just meet everyone and what not, then go for a little cruise.

Hey Jeff me and my friend David have got a club starting up down here. He had already decided to start it and we met like in May and since then it's really been coming together at a fast pace, we even got a few StangNet members there

You can check out the site at www.TBMustangs.com, the site is kinda bare right now but we're updating alot of stuff.

Feel free to get ahold of me if you need any help and I'll do what I can and good luck buddy.

I agree.... I started my club last Janurary.... it's open to anyone that likes speed. So far 270 people have signed up and around 40-50 are logged in at any given 24 hour period. I've also had to move my site to 4 different servers as I've overloaded the past 3.

It's a cool thing to hear your club on the radio or announced at the dragstrip. Plus to see your T-shirts out in a crowd at car shows is pretty sweet.

Just be prepared, it's not an easy task... if you want it to succeed.

Oh, and think of a GOOD name... it makes all the difference in the world.

if someone has a sweet and quick 6 banger then there welcome to come join, i just don't want stock 6 bangers wanting to join or ones with a little amount of work, cuz mostly ever car thats has joined so far has either h/c/i or a superchager.

Thats not nice. Not EVERYONE can afford to put that kinda money into a car, 6 or 8. Budget racers cant have friends?

I can understand not haveing the ricer types, but come on, you gotta open up a bit.

Shouldn't that be for THEM to decide if they would feel bad? Trust me on this, when it comes to members and making a club work.... you really want people that participate and care about the club. Also ones that will proudly wear or display your club logo.

I've got a few on my site that some would rather not be... but you know what... their money cashes just the same as everyone elses.

Plus I was in their shoes.... just because they aren't fast now doesn't mean they won't be later. Any of those 6 bangers can bolt on a $500 nitrous kit and smoke a stock GT. Don't forget that.

First thing I did to my car was gears.... then JUICE!

Do what you want with your club... sounds like you have a good response so far. But a club should seriously be run like a business if you want it to succeed. My store doesn't turn away customers... however, the fast ones get better rewards.

You forget its not always about how fast your car is, its about the commaradity(sp?) and just kicking it with people and talking cars and getting help from pweople with the same interest(Mustang) and stuff like that.I was once a member of a club and I had the fastest car, no one was ever jealous of me, it just gave them a goal to work towards.

Just food for thought, its your club.
