Over the last week we have seen temperatures between 2-20 degrees.

Last Monday I drove my 95 GT Auto to work (35 miles), and back to town with no issues. However I stopped at the grocery store for 10 minutes and came back out and the car was completely dead, I mean NOTHING, called a friend for a jump...still NOTHING, removed battery from car and tested it at AutoZone where it tested normal. Put battery back in car, and it started right up.

Tuesday, drove the truck and gave the Mustang the day off.

Wednesday, again drove truck to let her rest. Started up the Mustang just fine as I removed snow from driveway, and let it get to operating temperature. Everything seemed fine. I shut the car down and about 2 hours later went to drive it to the store and it would not start, this time i heard the fuel pump start up, got the litttle indicator lights that normally come on, but would not turn.

Thursday, I was mad and didnt touch it.

Friday, see Thursday

Saturday, tried it again and again got the indicators, but no power to start.

Sunday, tried to jump with the truck, and it worked! Let the car idle to operating temp again, drove around the block...

What could possibly be wrong? I wont drive it because now I dont trust it.

I replaced the alternator back in June this year I believe, the battery could probably be replaced, but it is testing normal...I am thinking about getting an Optima RedTop at some point soon.

Check all of your battery cable connections, power grounds and the PDC connection. You probably have a bad connection or a rotted cable (they can look fine on the outside but be junk inside the insulation).

when you say "wont start",do you mean will turn over but not fire?

or when you turn the key,the starter will just "click"?

or there is no power at all when you turn the key?

you can check for proper voltage (12v+)at the small wire on the starter when the key is turned to start(be careful)

also 12v+ constant at the large wire at the starter.

post up results:)
