A limited slip differential and some Dunlop M3s will help. There are a few posts about winterizing the Stang in Talk. I put a TT in mine and it handles in the crud much better. I am in NVA, though, so it is not like snow here is a big deal for long.

Check out my post on my winterizing of the Stang. I just put on 4 Dunlop M3 WinterSport Tires and about 100+ lbs of sand in the trunk. I posted my reviews on this site. I drive the stang through the last couple of inches of snow and it was unreal how well it responded and remained in control.

Winterized

Got some Blizzak Revo1s put on for the winter.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but in the cold weather (I'm from Canada, eh!) I've noticed the following issues:
-Dash intrument panel Fogs up
-Passenger window lowers on its own
-Gears are super tight (even after 5 minute warm up)

on standard winter days (0 to -10 celcius or 14 to 32 Fahrenheit) everything works fine but when it gets colder, I notice the above problems.

I was thinking about investing in a block heater

TT=TrueTrac. A very strong LSD(limited-slip differential), kind of like a T-Lok. Only better.

Mine is stock, and I have to say I'm impressed with how well it handles in the snow. We've had 2 pretty significant snowfalls this year, and the only place I've had trouble is getting into and out of my neighborhood it's pretty hilly.

The first day, coming home from work semis and other vehicles were getting stuck, but I didn't have any trouble, even when I came to a full stop on the uphill side of a bridge. I was stunned Then I got into the neighborhood, and we have a new family who didn't realize that parking their car on the side of a curved road going up a hill isn't a great idea. Since I was more worried about hitting their car than getting up the hill, I left it in the pool parking lot and walked home - safer for everybody. After I was able to get my stang home, the next day my husband and I were leaving for work, and I made it up the hill, but his Mini Cooper wasn't so lucky - he was happy to get back into the garage.

My goofy neighbor across the street was telling me that her husband'3 300M has "that rear wheel drive, and he can't make it up the hill". Her eyes bugged when I mentioned that mustangs are also rear wheel drive - I think the lower horsepower of the V6 really helped me out, which is good, this is my daily driver and all...

i'm pretty sure that the 05 mustang sold in canada comes with an block heater ---look under the front spoiler---you'll see a wire dangling with a power plug ---it maybe taped up to the radiator mount.

Not sure about models sold in the US

I was curious about this too about a month ago and finally found it.

hope this helps

Well looks like I wont be driving my stang until it get warm out anyway. I broke my leg below the knee in three places and dislocated my right foot so I won't be driving for about 4 months. This is gonna kill me.
