Starting to get discouraged by the ls1/lt1 talk...

I effing love all foxes, I'm hoping that this isn't directed toward me. All I meant by what I posted earlier was that I didn't understand how the fox compares to the new 5.0, performance-wise. put all cars EVER MADE in a line-up, and the fox is right up there next to the BMW Isetta.

did I do that?
For the record my comment was not directed at you.

Fox=Excellent platform, poor powerplant.
F-Body=Poor platform, excellent powerplant.

Fox body + LSX=perfection. Or sbc or bbc actually.

The LSX is a pretty fancy engine, but the SBC and the BBC are every bit as outdated and expensive to build as the SBF and BBF. Except that maybe there are more hillbillies out there selling used SBC stuff than there are selling used SBF stuff, haha.

My opinion is this , I am a Ford Blue guy thru and thru , BUT , the Ls engine is more like a FORD than most realisr ...
Look at the head bolts , same as a Ford small block , these haeds actually bolt to a Frod small block .

Same weight as a small block 500 pounds or so .

I am always impressed that the Chevy guys like our platform , because it is lighter than anything they currently build .

would you say a 350 sbc has more capability than a 351w? or vice versa? or basically the same. because I know back in the day I read a bunch of stuff on why the 302w was a way better motor than chevy's 305.
While the 302 is far better than a 305, I'm not going to get into the other subject because it will start a battle.
Blackened88lx, that is one monstrous hayabusa in your sig. I had a zx14 that was stolen, but a damn near 1600 cc busa? thats time traveling, man.
It's for sale... Makes 240rwhp on motor, turn key mid 8s @ 160+ on a street tire with no wheelie bar.

Thats for sure. Everyone knows a stock trailer park 327/350 can make 400hp with a set of headers, edelbrock intake and glasspacks.

Holy **** dude, does the busa come with a diaper ?

it is a rumor that ford was going to take the LS design but passed it up for the OHC stuff, there are many similarities between SBF's and LS motors.

my buddy had a 96 Formula with a rebuilt 350, bored .30 over, all stock except long tubes and glasspacks, and he was cranking out 261hp@wheel and was running low 9's all day in the 1/8th.

BUT... i raced him in my 94 GT which has minor bolt ons (exhaust, CAI, pullies, steeda tri-ax) and he was barely pulling away from me, maybe a half car length every 5 seconds.

and my 94 GT only laid down 217 horses on a mustang dyno.

low 9's in the 8th? with 261hp, thats pathetic. i do high eights with less than 200rwhp
