Has anybody had any experience with these? My 1/4 window moldings are eroded and if these things work like they claim they do, it will be worth the $90.

Your best option is to use Fiberglass/Evercoat Poly-Flex. It's a flexible polyester glazing putty designed for spot filling and skim coating over repair areas on flexible bumpers and plastic parts. Mask off the area around the window and the glass itself, apply the putty, when dry sand down smooth and repaint. It will look brand new and nobody will know the difference.

I put them on my wife's 87 GT t-top about 18 months ago and have had no problems with them. I installed them on a HOT day and used plenty of adhesive and taped them down really well. She's had it up to 115-120 mph trying to catch me and they didn't come off then. They were worth it to me anyway.

I'm afraid not. I don't have the equipment to post pics. I can tell you though that sitting next to mine in the garage and looking at the two, its almost impossible to see the difference.

Looks as good as original...and when done right does not come off..I have NEVER had anyone even realize they were on there. If yours are all done then go to the auto body supplier and tell him what your looking for and they will provide you with a better product than the one the moldings come with...use that and yours will look mint..and stay put as well.

They are held on with black silicone basically and yes, they look very nice and I agree, it is almost impossible to tell that they are on there.

I have seen different places selling them. Are they all the same brand, or are some better than others? Do they require any trimming or fitting?

Yeah, I have a similar question - probably the same - just more elaborated .

The rear quarter windows are held in by the seal- right or wrong?

Basically, I would completely cut off the old molding and stick the Steeda molding on with the weather adhesive? Right?

You don't cut the old ones off. You stick the new ones on top of them with adhesive. They are just covers.
