steeda cai

quick question about the steeda cold air kit. i have a 00gt, was going to install the cai kit but noticed a have a small plug/sensor with 2 wires that plugs into the stock tube approx 3 inches in front of the mass air meter. the steeda pipe does not have anything on it to accept this plug, it only has the 2 nipples for the hoses near the tb. any ideas?? thanks in advance

you bought the wrong year model cai
you just need to drill a hole into the cai and buy a small rubber boot to stick it in. (home depot)

I installed one on my 01 GT yesterday and had the same problem. Called steeda and they said, where the mas air meter is attached to the new air filter unit there is a hole the size of the o2 sensor. Push the rubber grommet then the sensor.
