Up till now I have been running no front sway bar on my street driven stang. Its really frustrating having to slow down and take turns going 10 mph. It handle like a bus.

I must say that it launches seriously hard though. But this is a street car and i have been considering getting a light swaybar.

Steeda sells one, its a very light bar, weighs only 9 lbs as opposed to the 21 lbs stock bar. What do you guys think?

By the way where can i get new A-arm links for my sway bar, i think i threw those away because they were so rusty. Thanks for suggestions.

Steeda part # 555-1086

Go for it. It's not gonna hurt you that much on the strip. Weather and track prep would probably play a bigger difference. I'd get one before I took mine off because I know what it's like driving without one. It'll handle so much better on the street I would think. I've never rode in a car with a Steeda one on it, but they're reputable and I bet it works very well.

Also, for my benefit, on street tires, would I still hook better with it off compared to on?

Intense i really dont know if it would hook better with street tires without the sway bar. If i had to guess, then yes it would hook.

I am using nittos and them darn things grab because i see my front left fender come about foot off the ground. Try it, if you dont like it you can always put it back in :)

Didn't someone post a tread about the 4 cylinder swaybar being thinner/lighter/softer???

The swaybar prevents the front end from freely moving, which has pro's and cons. The pro's it allows the weight to freely move right, then back. The con's being it allows the weight to freely move when your cornering. (The pro's and cons mentioned is refering to having no swaybar)

What suspension mods do you have?

Mega bite Jrs, granatelli uppers, lakewood 50/50, pinion snubber, subframes.

im looking to get the steeda swaybar because i want to restore some handling, right now it has not front sway bar and it gets annoying.

Got one..

Installed a STEEDA drag.swaybar, nice blue one, this summer. It handels just fine, and my strip times does not hurt at all. The cars feels more steady, and the weight transfer is fine.Breaking at the end of the track at 100+mph is better with the swaybar! Streetdriving feels great.
Has been running without the swaybar earlier, and thats " a bus riding on wrong tirepressure feeling..." Just Me.

go for it dbeck.. its a good company and i wouldnt think they'd sell something that would hurt your times and misrepresent it as a helper lol

where do they sell them? How much? I cant find them, and do they come with the mount things? I broke mine when i took mine off.
