I bought a week ago and installed it today....all's i can say is wow it's perfect there is maybe alittle more noise and thats a big maybe....i have the shifter on the higer setting right now and it's great i might move it down tomarow. Every mustang needs this shifter, I just slam the gears as fast as i want and don't even have to worry about a miss shift or anything.

a friend of mine made his 5.0 shifter shorter by cutting it and the welding it back on. you guys wouldn't believe how short this thing was. you didn't even have to move your arm, you just pop the wrist and it's in. I had the steeda tri-ax in my last car and also loved it but i'm not sure this experiment can be done with the tri-ax cause of the curve and all.

Man you guys are killing me. I just got my 3.73 in and I want a shifter so bad because the gears roll by so quick now.

Tri-ax or Pro 5.0?

Btw, I pul a short throw shifter handle on the stock base and the handle was way to close to the stareo. Close enough that my knuckles were hitting it. Are there any aftermarket handles that you can ajust to like the stock stock location. Sorry to hijact but you already started a shifter thread to I thought Id add.

by all means hijack away....steeda tri ax had better reviews on corral when they did a review of the MAC, and pro 5.0. It retains the rubber parts which reduce noise and stop exhaust gas from getting in. Also it's adjustable and can be used witht he stock handle. The only problem i have ever heard people have is that the handdle is easy to break so most people recomend a Pro-5.0 handle on a steeda shifter.

But get the steeda you'll never regreat it.

i loooove the steeda. I got it about 2 years ago and fell in love. after i wrecked my car, the first thing i took out was the shifter. And when i drove my new car home, the tools were out in a quick second. i hate the feeling of driving an 18 wheeler
