A few weeks ago I had a bad belt so I replaced it with a goodyear gatorback a few days after putting the gatorback on I noticed it was eatin a little. Well it developed a small squeak , the squeak turned into a rattle. I figured my tensioner was bad as well so I bought a new belt and tensioner at the dealership I work at. Well today I get back from lunch and im going to park in my parking spot and all the sudden I have no power steering. So I get it in the spot and pop the hood and low and behold I notice my crank pulley isnt quite spinning right so I shut the car off right away. I waited for the car to cool down to inspect further. So I came out after work and inspected the pulley even further and the thing had seperated. Ive hear of other pullies doing this but never steeda. And I think I remember hearing steeda claim that they cant come apart or something to that nature. Anyone have any experience with this ?

No i didnt forget that , I made sure to put silicone in the keyway when they were installed. Ive had the pullies on for like a year and a half with no problems now all the sudden this. Ive contacted steeda through e-mail and on their forums and am going to try by phone on Monday. Now Ive got to get the car towed home from my work so that one of the mechanics from my old work and I can fix it. Its going to be a big hassle. Glad I caught it when I did could of cost me the engine.

Mine failed on my 2000 GT back in '04. The rubber litterally desintegrated between the two main pieces and caused some nasty vibrations in the engine. They wouldn't do anything for me because it was 3 years old at the time. I've run into about a half dozen or so people that have had similar problems.

Steeda may have been less inclined to help me as I'm black listed by them.
