been talking to 'hotrodnut' in another thread about this. hes been nothing but helpful. got some good advice from him and i just want to see if any of you guys have tried this:

heres my problem: i have the eibach sportlines on my car ( 2" front / 1.8" rear ) , upr 'shark' cc plates , take-off 04 shocks/struts and energy suspension isolators. the car sits about level and there is more gap inthe front between the bottom fender and the top of the tire. tires used will be 275/40/17 rear and either 255/45/17 or 255/40/17 up front.

my question is: if i want to get rid of some of the gap up front, i was told that the steeda x2 balljoints can help with that if i leave the spacer out that is included. steeda states that the spacer can be used to retain ride height. so if i leave it out, will that drop the car in the front some?

who has done this?

also, is it a HAVE TO to use the steeda bumpsteer kit? i have no problems with the stock balljoints now.

***if you change out balljoints, do you have to realign the car??

thanks in advance

They'll drop you about 1/2". The bump steer kit probably isn't necessary, but it certainly is worth doing while you're down there. After 10-12 years, that stuff is starting to get kind of worn.

i may go this route....

Here's a couple pics of my car before and after I installed the QA1 k-member. You'll get pretty much the same drop from the X2 balljoints.

If you have larger than stock tires up front it'll rub a lot. IMO, it looks killer, but it's too low to drive it like that a lot. Slowing waaay down to turn gets old very fast, as does dragging the exhaust on pebbles in the road.

i know steeda reccommends using their bumpsteer kit when using the X2 BJ and aftermarket C/C plates. im not experiencing any bumpsteer now....after installing the BJ's will i?

the kit is like $125 or so. id rather hang on to my extra cash if i can get out with just the BJ's. anyone done this without using the bumpsteer kit?

The X2's are supposed to improve your suspension geometry, which I think should improve bumpsteer. I know when I installed my k-member, even tho it lowered the car more it seems to ride better than it did before.
