Has anyone here bothered to install one yet?

Looking for a report on the install and what improvement (if any) there was.

Not yet, but I have always heard great things about the Steeda shifters. I would imagine that this would help you shave a bit off your 1/4 mile times due to increased efficiency on the shifts.

Steeda shifter installed

I have installed the Steeda Short throw shifter. I am extremely happy with the results, had it in for about a month now and have not missed a shift since. Aslo it is possible to get the stock shifter out without removing the driveshaft, but when you go to install the new shifter you have to assemble it in the car. The brass ring is also a PITA to put in, i believe i used a 1"3/8 deep socket and a hammer to get it in. Shifting is a bit notchy at first but it does break in. the height of the shifter is about the same as stock but the throws are about 3/4" shorter and make a world of difference. I had trouble finding info on it when i was looking to install it so i figure i help you guys with your decision. Any Q's feel free to PM me.
John
