Steel Hood Scoop

I have given up trying to get a satisfactory finish on my fibreglass shelby hood so I have had one made. Should come out real nice when the painter is finished.

the biggest problem with most fiberglass parts is that they are not made thick enough, which does make it difficult to get a good result.

That is a nice looking hood scoop ,someone did a great job. Is that leaded on?
Most of the fiberglass makers are using cheap fiberglass materials,they warp and twist with heat and cold .Ask what type of resins are used in the parts .If they tell you ORTHO that is the problem .You want ISO resin or Epoxy .If they won't tell you what they use they are probably using ORTHO...RUN!!

The scoop is fully tig welded to the hood, no lead used.
