Steering box and pitman arm

If you can swing it, it'd be a good idea to swap all this to late 67-up parts. Yours has a one piece steering shaft, sort a like a spear pointing at your chest. It extends from inside the gear box all the way to the steering wheel. Starting in late 67, all were equipped with a two piece shaft with a rag joint just above the gear box. If you're in a bad wreck, that stands a better chance of buckling and not driving the wheel into you.
