I have a 93 coupe and i have a 88 gt tilt steering column. Is it just a direct swap to put the 88 gt tilt column in my 93? Or do i have to do some wiring? peace

I just swapped in an 89 tilt column (may be an 88) in my 90 non tilt airbag column and the wiring plug types were the same. Im not sure if they actually have any diff wiring on the 93 though cause ford did some major wiring changes but mostly the color scheme...

I actually swapped the 89 dash and column but you can do the tilt swap without the dash. the opening for the 90+ dash for the c9olumn is larger due to the airbag but you can make the column plastics fit from an 87-89. everything else was the same..I dont know if you can run airbag setup on tilt column though because the airbag electronics require big ring in back for connection and the tilt column doesn thave this setup on it. but I would take the tilt non airbag over the non tilt airbag column any day imho...
