I'm digging back into my '67 after a disastrous six year trip to the body shop -- bad luck + very bad decisions -- and the steering is giving me fits. Somehow the bracket for the PS cylinder broke free of its mounting points. The cylinder shaft is bent, but I know how to replace that assembly. My bigger problem is that one of the holes that the crush nuts mount in has been twisted up into the rail. Any suggestions on how to bring it back down flush?

Just has a similar issue with the frame rail. How about having the braket welded to the frame?

Thanks, that's the only solution I've come up with -- short of going with the randalls or TCP rack. Tempting but a bit pricey before solving some of the other problems with the car.
