steering rack mounting sleeves ASAP

I am installing aluminum steering rack bushings and I can't get the sleeves freed up to remove them, does anybody have any idea as to how to get them removed?

Hmmm, I was just looking at the instructions and it appears that you do have to remove them to cut them shorter. When I installed my urethane bushings those sleeves were on the k-member rock solid. I am glad I did not have to remove them...

How are you trying to remove them? If I remember correctly you have to pull them out, not hammer them inward. Use some penetrating oil. If you screw the end up, it's no big deal as that is the end you have to cut anyway. Maybe i should ask what bushings you are installing? I put the solid ones in,....

I re-read,... you are installing solid rack bushings,... The sleeves are not spot welded in,...
