steering stops granada disc brake swap

I'm converting to disc brakes and need to modify my steering stop does any know how much I should cut them back? 66 Mustang 77 Mercury Monarch swap.

Thank you for the info I have seen this before. I was trying to find out how much to cut. I didn't want to cut to much or not enough.
