Steering Wheel

I wish to purchase an aftermarket steering wheel, in hopes of limiting the amount of revolutions I need to make with the steering wheel in order to steer the wheels.

Does a smaller wheel diameter correspond to less revolutions? How does this work?

My friend says that larger-diameter steering wheels correlate to less revolutions of the steering wheel required to turn the wheels.
