I put a new deck in my 95gt and the stereo still dont work. The factory deck quit and so i put the new one in and now there is still nothing. The car has the mach 460 sound system so any help would be great. By the way where are the factory amps in a vert.

Did you make sure you got the correct harness for a car with premium sound? The harness will be different than a standard Ford stereo harness.

Get a 2$ test light from Walmart and check for power (ignition power and constant battery power) and ground.

Also, you need to make sure the blue "remote" wire from your head unit is connected to the proper amp wire so it will turn on the Mach 460 system.

Yes, it'll be the blue remote wire on both sides. (stereo harness and car adapter harness).

An easy test is to run 12 volts from your ignition to that blue remote wire going into the car harness. I'm not sure if there's a seperate ground for the amps. You said your old stereo quit. What did it do exactly when you "quit"?

I was talking about the adapter harness. On that harness there will be a blue remote wire, it leads to the factory amp system. You need to hook the remote wire from the head unit to that wire. If your adapter harness is missing that, then you'll have to hook it straight to the car's harness.

If all else fails, leave it disconnected and run down to your local hometown owned audio shop, don't do the best buy thing. Just ask them if they can come out and take a look to tell you if it's right. I tend to trust the hometown owned guys rather than others.
