Alright..so I pull the red wire from my fatory coil to check voltage and it gets 12v which is good..however when I return the wire to the coil and measure voltage I am only reading 10.5v! where is the drop comming from?? tried several times with same results.

update..after attempting to start car I found it turns over fine, pump primes fine, but not starting..coil voltage is 12v to red wire when not connected, 10.5v when connected??? and green wire 3 volts when connected..nothing when not??

Going to put in new coil tomorrow, then if still not start I will switch my computer with my old SD computer..see if that helps out..then I will have to look at TFI. I hope the coil swap brings her to life, I'm getting a bit frustrated.

voltage on the primary means next to nothing. Check the secondary and see if you're getting spark. Seeing a drop on the primary present because of the back EMF induced by the secondary 'ain't no thang'... Your primary is switched, anyway, which would ALMOST nullify a slight voltage drop.

However at KOEO I would expect the voltage to be consistant at 12v wether the wire was attached to the coil or not..I would think the drop in voltage after simply connecting the coil to the post would indicate something???

The only things between the red/green wire on the coil and the battery are the fuse link & ignition switch. I would expect to see whatever voltage is at the battery at the coil +/- .5 volt.
