That should go to the vacuum tree by the master cylinder.

Yeah spaghetti thin. Runs from the vac tree by the brake booster to the drier that is behind the glovebox, it looks like a blimp. Mine was broken near the vac tree thank God so I attached s piece of rubber washer hose between both ends

One more thing: just to state the obvious the vac tree has a nipple marked "ac" that's the one you want

Also I still don't have any heat I thought this would have fixed it but I guess not...and on top of that my heat doesn't blow out of the vents everyrhing comes out of the defrost vent.

You have a broken line somewhere from the vacuum tree back to the HVAC control.

That picture was just after my hose blew....and thebonly time I overheat was right before the hose above blew...it always stayed at the L in normal now it gets that hot but then back to about half way...I even put in a 180º thermo to keep the engine cooler

The T-stat only establishes the minimum operating temperature. The radiators ability to extract/disapate heat from the coolant is what cools the engine.

You can by rubber vacuum tubing by the inch in any number of different diameters. I would seriously consider changing all the original thin plastic lines with new rubber vacuum tubing. That plastic by now is very brittle.

Did anyone mention yet that there's a broken vacuum line? I feel like no one has said that yet.

Either that or maybe... just maybe... he has a vacuum leak. If that's not it you may be right and he has a broken vacuum line.

Def have a broken vac line lol....its a couple days later now car runs a lot better since I cleaned the fuel injectors...litteraly a completly diferent car now...she still gets hot but it goes right back to normal within a min or so...I kinda think my rad is a little tired lol haven't gotten around to the vacum line but that's only going to fix my heat and not the running hot here n therebissue right? And will the vacum line make the heat come out of the vents and not only the defrost?

right that line just provides enough vacuum for the selector to open and close the vents.

But if you have a vacuum leak your car won't run right.

For what its worth, if your rad is fine, if you boiled your new stat to ensure proper opening, if your fan works properly, if you solved your vacuum leak, if your hoses are fine, if your head gaskets are fine, and if your car still over heats w/the cap off at idle when your car is level or nose up, then you still have an air pocket in the system.

If you put the cap on after properly bleeding the system, and she overheats, the cap is junk.

Note: 180 stats are not so good for the car's cooling efficacy.

Note....my car doesn't ocer heat it just gets hot then cools back down...I can drive it for a long time without overheating. I just don't like it running hot....the hottest it has gotten was the l in normal on the gauge but withing a min she cools back to half way on the gauge then its fine fpr a couple mins then does it again...I have noticed a faint smellbof antifreeze but not sure if its from the one time my car did overheat and the upper hose blew to pieces but I changed everything after that. Now I have this current issue. And for what its worth my car doesn't get that hot untill about 20 mins of driving that's when this ceap starts

I'm gonna start repacing all the external engine parts one by one so when I rebuild everything is relitivly new and ill start with a new rad and water pump while I'm changing all the rubbers....for now its fine because I only use the car to get to and from work wich is a 25 min drive going the long way and just a couple quick joy rides.....so for now I guess I'm fine. I do want to fix my heat so that's the main issue right now getting it to blow hot and out of the vints ...I have to check the heatercore next....the hoses are getting checked tomorow at a quick glance they look fine....I have to have atleast eniugh heat to defrost the windshield in the winter....and worste case I still have my 2012 turbo sonata to drive if I have too....ps that 2.0 turbo sonata hauls ass lol just don't like the 6spd auto tranny as first gearblast about 3 ft it feels very wierd

Okay. If your heater core, heater core hoses, & appropiate vacuum lines are fine yet hot air does not come out of the vents you have an air pocket issue.

The "L" on the gauge is too hot assuming your temp sensor & sender are working right. Under normal conditions you should be on the "R" or just slightly above. A 180 stat will throw this higher though (not good).

Does your car get that hot in 1st-4th gear driving?

Yeah I rarely go fast enough for 5th gear as all the roads are 35-45 mph roads..how would a 180º stat make the temp higher I think the oem is 192 right? So shiuldnt it runa little cooler on the gauge...I hhaven't done anything when the sending unit yet os it a possibility that's the prob...and also I notice that whenever I use any power accessories like light wipers blinkers anything that draws power from the battery the gauge will slightly move...example when my foot is on the brake at a light or something it will make it hotter and when I take foot off it bounces back down not a hugh bounce but I can notice it on the gauge...could that mean its a bad groundbor something of rhat nature?
