what is the 1/4 mile time of a stock 2003 mustang gt with a 5 spd and perfect conditions and traction? i have been reading between 14.1-14.8. then i read on a site or two 13.9. so what is it? also what kind of times am i looking at with the mods in my sig with 4.10 gears and an accufab plenum and 70mm throttle body

Evan Smith got a stock 99-04 Mustang GT through the quarter mile in 13.7 seconds, but 13.9 is more realistic with a good driver.

Under "perfect" conditions with "perfect" driving most are running in the 14.2-14.5 range. There are the odd ones you hear about dipping into the high-13's but that's as rare as rocking horse ****. For all intensive purposes, they're low 14-second cars that most run into the mid/high 14's.

With the mods in your sig, expect to knock about 2-3 tenths off of the time above, but again....that's with "perfect" conditions and a "perfect" driver behind the wheel. Expect to stay in the mid/low 14-second zone if you're not anything more than an "average" driver.

My bone stock 97 GT ran 14.67@94mph. That was with a pretty crappy 2.2 or a high 2.1 60' time.

With some more practice and an offroad pipe, I got a best of 14.27@96 and I can consistently run 14.4s. I want to wait for perfect weather, to bolt on the nittos and go for a 13.999 with a 5k rpm launch.

Id be willing to bet that you have at least 3-4 tracks within 1-2 hours of your house. Where do you live?
