stock 302 on juice times

The 150 is the most you will likely see anyone run on stock rods. The rods seem to be a weak link when runnig nitrous. Of course improper tune will do you in with the smallest of nitrous use. Start small and up the size slowly until your familair with the proper use. Its not how much nitrous you run as opposed to running a small shot and getting the best performance. I would be more impressed with good times on a stock motor with a small shot than a huge shot and good times. I will admit as soon as Im ready to blow this block up Im putting in the 275 shot and see what goes boom!

Depending on your skills rowwing thru the gears low 13's should be no problem. If your using slicks or drag radials high 12's wouldnt be impossible.

You think that's all a 150 shot can do. Got a buddy, running stock heads, cam and bottom end in a 90 coupe with a 125 shot. Holley Systemax intake, K&N filter, stock TB, stock MAF. Stock headers, BBK 2.5" off road H pipe, Flowmaster catback. 26x10.5x15 M/T E.T. Drags. 100% stock suspension except for homemade subframe connectors. Oh, and a 3.55 gear. Runs 7.80s at local 1/8 mile track and has been 12.20s in the 1/4, cant remember the trap speed. T5 also, with a King Cobra clutch.

i'm planing on puting some 150shot on my 88' LX it has 306 JE forged pistons, stock rods with ARP bolts, studs on the crankshaft journals, sotck heads ported very well (145cc I and 60cc E) GT40 valves, typhoon intake ported (stock TB,19lbs 4 hole inyectors got them from a 99' stang FP set to 40psi w/o vacuum), 1 5/8 LT's,XE274HR cam, T5, 3.73 gears.
the cuestion is any tips on tuning it?and what kind of tires can i run for a good lauch?
i know the plugs needs to be gapped to 0.35 and run autolite's 24 what else about timing etc.
my cousin has on his car 26x10.5 sliks on his car can i try them or they are too big?
what times can i do with a good driver?

crapola crapola crapola

:chair: You cant be serious that is so far from the truth it isnt funny.

you can safely run a 175 shot for years on end with out worry of a rod breaking for as long as you have a decent tune

i have ran a 175 shot for almost three years on a 150,000 mile shortblock without 1 problem now im going a different route with same stock bottom end

:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

now i know why i quit coming here so often people giving wrong info just urks me for some reason

not only that you will crack that block way before a rod will break
:fuss:
