stock 5.0 headers on a 289????

i have a set of stock headers of my old 89 conv. 5.0 and i was wondering if they will fit into my 66 fastback without any clearance problems (shock towers). if they fit what could i use to connect the stock headers with the ball and socket flange to my flowmaster exhaust system
