How in gods name do you get the MAF sensor out of that enormous black housing it sits in behind the air filter in the stock air intake tract, i tried those metal retaining clamps and god knows what else, I dont understand this damn thing.

it snaps together i think should just pull apart but its been a while sense i took mine apart

It should come apart fairly easily. I believe the maf is bolted to the housing too. Its been a while since Ive seen that air box.
