stock axles

what do you guys thank the limit for stock axles are in a stick. im building a 357w for my fox and i dont know if i will have enough money for axles too. what should i do? 1 baby it off the launch. 2 or jjust wait till i save enough money. thanks jason

its not the power that's really gonna kill them, its the traction. what are you doing for tires and suspension?

shop around, a set of 31 spline axles and a rebuilt, used 31 spline t-lock won't be very expensive.

i have a set of et streets and have drag shocks. but i will be putting on aftermarket control arms. so do you think a set of regular ford 31 spline axles would be fine? thanks jason

I think a stock car with a hard launch from a stick can break them. Hopefully you have C-clip eliminators.

well i have already been in the 11s with nitrous, but that was leaving at 3500. so im just wondering how much more they will take. hey in your sig it says you have stock axles but its a auto. if i just swap them out for 31- spline ford ones do you think they would be ok?

I have stock stuff, but my tight converter makes me leave the line at 1500.

Just run some C-Clip Elims so that if you do break an axle, it will be traped in the housing and not kill someone including you. The 31 splines are better than stock. I am assuming that is what you have? A set of strange axles, spool, and clips was about $600 last time I priced them.

don't forget you will need a new diff also. can't just throw in the 31 spline axles. so figure, axles, 31 spline t-lock and c-clip eliminators.
