stock compression ratio?????????

what is stock compression raito for our h.o 5.0 92greengt found article that says it is 9:1 i say it is 10:1 who is right? also what would be the best way to lower it to 9:1 if it is 10:1 for my combo could i use my stock piston heads? thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the later years, but 87-93 fox 5.0L had 9:1. I know my 85 has 8.4:1......terribly low And I think 86's had around 9.5:1. Maybe you're hearing 10:1 because people don't have stock heads? The combustion chambers on stock E7 heads are 65 cc (my E5's are 70 cc), anything lower than that will increase your compression ratio.

Oh yeah, Hey btw man, I put in a 180 degree thermostat and my 31x19 Griffin rad is supposed to be here in the morning. So if I get everything installed, I will let ya know how it cools.
