Guys,

My Saleen just received a freshly built forged engine and today when I got it back, I cranked it up. To my suprise all of the factory dash gauges sweep full tilt clockwise as if in a check gauges mode.

When you just turn the battery on , it does not do that. Every single time I crank the car the gauges all sweep and reset to normal position.

My question is....is this normal?
I cant seem to remember them ever doing this before, unless you held down the trip button to initialize the check gauge sequence.

Why would it be doing it every time I crank the car?

Thanks for any help.
I have searched with little success so far.

Mine did that as my battery was dieing. I didn't really have any indication of the battery going dead besides teh gauge sweep. I ran about 3 months with the gauge sweep before I got a new battery and then when I did, no more gauge sweep. Maybe stop by autozone and have them check your battery. Other than that I would think maybe a ground or something was not connected well.
Good luck.

i just had the guage sweep deal about a month ago..it was cause by my battery going dead and i was told that the gauge sweep is just a test after the car cranks back over with a full charger...get a new battery and it will go away
