I replaced my upper and lower LCA's this weekend and when I pulled out the uppers I found they were aluminum. I thought ford made this out of steel. Did they ever do this or did I have a set of FRPP uppers?

thanks,
Larry

They are stamped steel, just like the frpp's.

Are you sure they're aluminum? Stick a magnet to them and see if it sticks. FRPP's HD UCAs are steel, not aluminum in any event.

I bought them, and according to frpp, the bushings are twice as stiff as stock. Besides that, they look identical.
