i am running stock lifters, (reman) with twisted wedge heads and they are clacking, is there any reaosn to upgrade to aftermarket lifters? i have heard that stockers are pretty tough and some clacking is normal. i have adjusted them too. worth the money for "aftermarket" lifters?
TWs tend to be a little noisier than other stud mount heads. If you want less noise, run more preload. I run 1/4 turn because I care more about the little extra power, but 1/2-3/4 turn will be quieter.
