I need to replace the sway bar bushings and i heard that the stock size was 1 5/16" but can anyone confirm that? also, i am about to attempt to change the motor mounts out for some poly motor mounts that supposivelly let the engine sit lower (covert. style). Will i have any clearance problems with the swaybar touching the oil pan? thanks in advance

Im a newbie and my 91gt just failed inspection with a nice list of to-dos within 30 days so sorry for all the Q's.

You need to measure the anti-sway bar since there were different sizes available.

I use poly bushings so I cant help with that much. If it lists for the car and is the right size, it should work.

Good luck!

Might want to install new end links while at it.

And while doing motor mounts, the trans mount and crossmember bushings are nice to do.

Good luck.

My '92 GT has an 1 5/16" sway bar, but as stated above, different cars had different sizes, so measure to be sure. I used the greasable Energy Suspension poly bushings for mine. Also have Energy Susp. end links, motor mounts, trans mount, and crossmember bushings. You won't have any clearence problems. My sway bar is real close to my pan when the car is up on a lift, but thats only because it's a Moroso pan

When I went to purchase my swaybar bushings, Powered By Ford gave me a paper tape to wrap around the swaybar and measure it. They told me that there were a number of different sizes and the car could have had the swaybar replaced with one other than stock size.

This is smart. I use a Vernier caliper since I dont have a tape like that. Putting a crescent wrench around the bar right next to a bushing and tightening the wrench till it is snug around the bar can work. Then use a tape to measure the spread on the crescent wrench. Just be very particular (clean the bar off first, etc) since the difference in sizes is often 1/16".

Good luck.
