Stock Truck 351w block safe at 500HP?

Getting ready to put a 408 in the stang and want to make 500 N/A then 100 shot of the juice. Will the block handle it with scat forged internals? Or do I need to drop the cash and get a dart block or other? Thanks for any help. Scott

block should be fine.

Screw up the tune bad enough and it won't matter what block you have.

I'm using a '78 block out of a truck and am throwing somewhere in the range of 700 horses with no problems. I'd recommend the use of a main girdle though.

It will be fine, dart block cant hurt though thats for sure.
