Stolen!!!

I am in South Central WI and had my 83 stolen behind a dealership on their property, anybody have advice or care to help/reply?

man thats gotta suck! my 87 cougar was stolen and the police found it on the day that it was exactly one year missing with just a window broke and the stupid factory radio missing. i couldnt believe it! just glad to have it back, hope they will find yours too!!!!

I found out a lot of information through the grapevine but the police said it is no good unless there is better proof. They haven't questioned anybody or done much of anything with all the leads I've given, and I've given names and addresses.
Anyone have carfax to run the VIN, so I can see if someone tried to reregister? Although, I doubt that anything would come up since I'm sure they switched the dash VIN.
