I just purchased a completely stock 1990 302 (intake to oil pan) for my 331 project. This engine will be stored on my engine stand until next Spring. What do I need to do to this engine to store it? Thanks.

Jegs sells a bag that you cover the engine with and zip up. that way no dust/humidity cant reach it.

there are also plates that you can bolt onto the lower intake and the exhaust ports. this will seal the motor so nothing can get inside.

The engine has been ran, has oil in it, is complete and will be stored in an insulated garage. Would it be okay just to plug the holes up and leave it in the garage for no more than a year? Thanks.

Like 93 said drain the oil out of it.

I would block off all the intake and exhaust passages. I usually pull the pushrods, plug the intake tract and the exhaust ports and make sure it has plugs in all the cylinders. I also put a squirt of Marvel Mystery oil in just to keep anything from freezing up.. Then bag and it will be fine.
