Story About Your Car

Mine is pretty simple as well. Deployed to the Mid-East a few weeks after 9/11. Re-enlisted and got a 60k (tax free) bonus from Uncle Sam and started looking for my 93. I found one on Auto Trader (Orlando) that had 45k miles on it and it was in mint, garage kept and babied condition. In December 2001, I wired 4k to the owner and on 4 January, 2002, I picked the car up and gave him the remaining 4k. So 8k later, I had my car I always wanted. I think most of you know the rest of the story. Once you start, you can't stop.

My dad started off with a couple beater cars cause his family ran a farm and didn't have a lot of money. A little later on in the mid 80s he got a 4 cyli turbo capri that he rolled in for a while till the turbo went. So before i was born, he bought a 1987 Gt Mustang, 5.0 5spd, fully loaded, cruise, etc. got it w almost 10k on it. he told my mom he was going to get a beat up iroc, >thank god he didn't cause i might have a mullet right now< and he pulls up in a pretty red mustang. To send my mom into labor when she was pregnant with me, he took her out to do donuts in stang, and that did the trick! So i literally grew up in this car and was obsessed with it my whole life, i never rode with mom, just dad and his stang. when i turned 13 or so he got a 98 gt and the 87 sat. when i turned 16 he handed me the keys and i've been fixing it up since. my dad would do anything for me and is my best friend. we work on the stang whenever im not working. i still have to buy it from him, but he'd rather see it fixed up first.
