Adding upper and lower control arms will help, but only if you back them with a drag radial or a true slick. With stock street radials, they're likely to hurt your 60-ft times even more. Stiff control arms transfer the power so well as a matter of fact, that they tend to overwhelm the stock tires by "shocking" them when trying to come of the line. You don't get the flex that softens this blow like you do with the stock stamped steel pieces and it's going to translate into more wheel spin, not less.
The sportline springs are too short and stiff in the back end, which limits the amount of "squat" you'll get when the weight transfers to the rear wheels and the same holds true for the front springs, since the shorter stiffer springs won't provide as much "extension" under acceleration to sufficiently transfer the weight to the rear.
You can set it up to drag, or you can set it up to handle, but it’s never going to be able to pull double duty. Either keep a different set up handy in the garage for those weekends at the track, or be content with your sleek stance, crisper handling and sub-impressive 60-ft times.
