Who is running what?

I have the inside the fender CAI in a 2000 3.8L Coupe and I am wondering if the straight shot is any different performance wise.

I just got another 2000 3.8L Coupe that I want to play with.

Thanks in advance!!

ive always heard fender is better because its in a different compartment as the engine, therefore bringing in cooler air.. how much difference i have no idea

Yep.. 97 sally's right the fenderwell has cooler air than whats under the hood so a true cai is better than a straight shot. If you really want to 'play with it' as you said and you know a little bit about what you're doing I've seen people fabricate cai's that actually dip down below the car and scoop up the air from where the fog light should be.. Thats some pretty hardcore stuff if you're up to it if not just pick up a kit from bbk or something

Whichever one you think looks better. Mainly for looks. Ive had two fenderwell CAI on previous Mustangs (one of which was on a V6) and honestly they didnt make a difference that I could tell.
Looks pretty though.
