I have a 90 coupe and I had a 306 installed and changed everything else in the car. We converted it from EFI to Carburated and ran all new fuel lines, a Mallory externall fuel pump, and a TKO Tran. I know when you compleatly change something that some bugs need to be worked out but it still sucks. I got my car back from getting the carburater tuned in and the timing set right, and it ran great for two weeks. Then I drove it out of town Friday and it just dyed on me. I was going down this back road and hit two dips in the road and the car just stalled on me. Everytime I try to start it, it starts right up but then dyes again. Anyways I going to get a dolley today and try to go get it. I guess I was just trying to get this off my mind. Later.

You are likely to have wiring problems. Start by looking at the ECC & fuel pump power circuits. a bad fuse link, faulty relay or bad wiring would cause the type of problems you are experiencing

Ok thanks. The only thing that is confusing me is, I can hear the pump running but it's like the car isn't getting fuel. I thought maybe the car is flooded so I turned the pump off. That didn't help either.
