Well I know the subject sucks but Im not sure how else to word it.

Its been happening for quite a while now.
If I drive the car for maybe an hour or so I hear this whine/squeal coming from either under the hood or around the transmission...

I first thought it was the fan clutch, but Im using an electric fan now.

Seems to vary in pitch when my speed changes, but not always.
If I shift to neutral its still there...
I know my TOB is bad and usually squeeks at idle.

Could it be the TOB? And if so it it something I should worry about?
The noise doesnt seem to affect drivability or power.

well all the pulleys are new as is the tensioner and alternator. So Im guessing the drive belts are kinda out of the question.

Could it be the power steering?

bad transmission bearing doesnt sound good... :(

You are back to removing the belt to see if it is the pump but I don't see anything to take a hour to start making noise not even the transmission since it only takes about 15 minutes for everything to be at temperature. It could still be a TOB.
