Strange noise when reversing

OK, along with the plethora of other noises our wonderful cars have, I got a new one  :

When reversing into my parking stall at home, I've been noticing a strange noise coming from the right front tire. Sorta sounds like a rubbing noise, with a hint of "grinding," but not grinding in the sense of metal on metal. More like plastic on plastic.

I don't believe my front tire rubs at full lockout, but I may be wrong. It just doesn't sound like the tire is rubbing anything, and there is no "feeling" in the steering wheel to make me think that it would be.

Ideas anyone?

well it could possibly be a worn out bushing in the A-arm. it should do it all the time though, BUT you might not be noticing it do to exhaust (i assume, you have since it's not in your sig) being loud(er). i'd start by looking at the plastic inner fender, it'll be real easy to tell if it's rubbing. then i'd start looking at the bushings & then follow it up by checking out the ball joint
