strange noise

well guys i need your help i just got done puttin and cam,intake and a gear drive in my car got it all together and it has a really weird noise kinda sounds like its coming from the lifters but then again it gets louder under the car kinda sounds like metal slapping together but it is only at idle if i just give it alittle gas it goes away any ideas?

did you prime the engine after you put it all back together?

Sounds like a lifter collapsed to me. Maybe priming would remedy that problem? Not sure...

i didnt not prime the engine after i put it back together and my buddy failed to tell me that he could push half my lifters in by hand so im not sure
