my car or should i say my engine has a tendency to vibrate from mid 3rd gear til i let off in 5th somewhere. shiftin from 3rd to 4th isnt bad but when i go from 4th to 5th i can really feel. its weird because sometimes the 4th to 5th vibration stop when i pull in the clutch but most of the time it keeps vibrating. my whole clutch is brand new i replaced everything i cud that had to do with it except for the steeda cable kit. it cant have anything to do with the clutch can it? i remember the vibration with the old clutch. not too sure where to start. my harmonic balancer i just put on about 6 months ago is a factory replacement and that made a huge difference but it seemed to come back so idk any help will be appreciated.

Is it speed dependent, or happen at any speed, only when you're shifting into those gears? I'd take a look at the balancer again, just to be on the safe side, but it's probably a driveshaft issue. Too much slop in the u-joints, or if you installed it 180° out of phase from how it was originally installed could cause the vibration issue you're experiencing.

Check your driveshaft for play in the u-joints and for proper balance, and also see about getting the tires checked for balance, too. I'm also pretty certain that the trans mount can cause some headaches, as well. Speed dependent vibrations are typically one of those issues.

subscribing. i have a similar issue and have had it for a while. like mentioned above, the trans mount can play a big role in transferring lots of vibration. especially if it is a poly mount. also mentioned was the driveshaft, also a good point.

any experience with a aluminum ds from ford racing?
