Street racer owned thread

The best was the guy who was selling a laptop and was contacted by a guy from another country who wanted to buy it. It was an obvious scam but they guy played along. He wanted him to send the laptop and say it was something else much cheaper so he didn't have to pay taxes on a $5000 laptop.

To make a long story short, a bunch of people got involved, they found out where the guy lived and posted from in an internet cafe. The guy sent him a binder with keys glued to it and declared it's full $5000 value so the scammer had to pay $500 or so in taxes just to claim it.

Trying to find that thread..it was funny!

Ughhh....cliff notes. Not going through 68-pages.

From what I gather, the kid started whining about a ticket he got for street racing and the Police Officer who gave it to him was a member on said forum. Am I close? If so.....funny and certainly great ownage, but hardly awesome? :shrug:

That pretty much sums it up. I searched through it but didnt see another post by the OP :shrug: M Davis shows up somewhere in the 50s but I dont think its an epic thread. More like 60 pages of people saying "Checking in from Supra forums" and the like. :nonono

yeah, didn't know about the other thread, Laser. I wouldn't bother reading through anything other than posts 1 and 4. The rest of the pages, at least through the 3 or 4 I read, are a waste of time.
