I'm the new owner of a 90 Lx Notch with the 5.0 & 5spd. It's all original except for the 16" pony wheels. The car will be used for fun spirited... sorry, I meant to say reasonable driving with the Mrs. lol... I won't be auto Xing and don't need a corner carver.
Anyway, the goal is this, I would like to keep the comfort level in mind when replacing old deteriorating rubber bushings and upgrading other suspension parts.
I'm not looking to drop the car however, the Ford B springs are progressive with a spring rate of 425-530 lbs front and 200-300 lbs rear. I believe the factory spring rate is 400 lbs front and 185 rear. So, I'm thinking the B springs will add very little harshness over the stock springs and have minimal drop which I would be fine with. I would pair the springs with a quality single adjustable strut and shock. What do you guys think? Am I keeping the spring rate close enough to minimize the harshness while getting a small bump in handling. Thanks..
