Street tunes?

I just reacently moved to FL and found a shop in odessa fl called Persision Motorsports www. PM_FL.com.
I'm having them install LT'S and an OR|H I asked about a tune and they told me that they had no dyno so the would have to rent one at another shop, witch would tanslate to 450 out of my pocket.
They then told me I could get a steet tune for 250 with no dyno. I'm a bit wary of this because of all the rice burnners and their "street" tunes, and shoddy performance after the fact. Any advice?

Goto to Brenspeed.com and ask for a tune for your car. You can buy a SCT programer and have the tunes put on. If you speak with the guys there, they will ask u what u have and the best way to tune up.

The great thing is if you change anything, they can/will email you a new tune.

There are other tuner's as well, Bamachips, VPMtunning is another I believe. I went with Bren's and I am totally satisfied with the results.

So brenspeed will send me a free tune, after the initial purchase of the tunner, if I change anything. Wow if that is the case thats worth it.:D ps if I don't get the tune right away do I run the risk of running lean? with the JBA LT's and OR|H?

Yes. I bought a CIA (tuneable inductions, nice package btw !) and the Tuner, (SCT). It came with 3 tunes in it. If I ever make more changes, they will resend me tunes for my tuner.

Hmm as far as the Long tubes go, I am not sure..in truth I do not think so. The reason I understood for the tune is because I changed the MAF to a much bigger one than stock, thus the tune.

JBA VS Breenspeed

I just got off the phone with Jba and they say a tune is absolutly necessary because of the risk of detonation, but just before I called brenspeed and they said it wasn't necessary....AHRH! I think I'll go with JBA and get the air fuel ratio dailed in.:nonono:

Hey, I'm in Spring Hill, just up 19 from you. Try Justin at VMP Tuning. He's off I-4 just on the other side of Orlando. I had my GT dyno tuned by him back in December and have been thoroughly pleased with the results.

I would go with a Tillman Speed tune. I had a 93 custome tune by CR and then we dyno tuned it which made it even better. Also VMP has some great tunes, I haven't used them because Tillmans is down the street form me
