Does anyone have pics of a '68 w/ turn signals in the hood and stripes? I would like to do stripes, but don't want to to the '67 shelby hood. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Here are some pictures that you can look at to get an idea.

Thanks! Do you happen to have a closer pic of the stripe going over the turn signal bezel? I was just goofing around with some extra paint before I sent the hood out to get stripped. The color of the car will be a darker/deeper blue with the gunmetal stripe (color in the pic).

Im also wondering the same thing. Is it possible to use the hood from the 68 shelby? i really like the scoops on that one. And if i did use the shelby hood, is the turn signal scoops transferable?

I just don't like the look of the 68 shelby hood. Reminds of a snotty, turned up a nose kid I knew a long time ago. And, I just did a measurement from motor mounts to the top of the EFI intake and I will have to use the '67 shelby hood anyway. Anyone want to buy a '68 turn signal hood?

Dave, give me a call. I still have that rough shelby style hood and I am in need of a turn signal.

Let's see if this works... although I like them better when they go back to the windshield.

Hey Kevin, I am a little concerned about yours, no offence intended. Not too sure about the quality. Sorry. I have just put too much effort into everything else to worry about it. If you want mine, call me. I does have some damage to the very front that I uncovered while sanding. I will make you a hell of a deal being local.

1320stang- I thought about that style as well, but I agree with you it looks strange. Would be cool if the stripes reappeared on the valance. I am going to have to do the '67 Shelby short hood for clearance.

PjX5- Not sure about the turn signal for the '68 Shelby hood unless you are a wiz at glass, and I think it would look totally hoaky.

Thanks for the posts. Kevin, do you remember the name of that guy from Oklahoma we met up at the swap meet? He had some real nice glass hoods if memory serves?

The guy from Oklahoma sells on Ebay I believe. I think he's over near the Tulsa area. I'd like to go over and see the stuff in person. I'd like to have a '67 Shelby styled hood for my '65 coupe.

I bought my 67 shelby hood from the guy in Tulsa. Spend the extra money and get a quality hood.
