UPDATE new pics page 4 post 78 :SNSign:

it looks a lot better IMO the strips give them a whole new look!

i like em.

i still need to get all the polishing compound out of all the conners as you can see in the pics but ill save that for tomorrow.

and i need to paint the trim. Its got a couple of scratches on it, but ill do that in spring. these arnt going back on the car till then anyway.

i still need to go back though and make sure my spacing is correct.

Do the inside of the reflectors in chrome paint as well. Makes the lights look nice and bright

They look great. If you wanna make 'em SVO/Cobra replicas though you'd want to snip the 2nd strip from the bottom right as it goes around the corner of the light

That pic can be seen on this page: http://www.soniccherry.com/mmshoot.html - I dunno what the filename is so just go there and find it if you want.

Did you plan on touching up the scuffed black paint on the trim? that'd make it look great. And like you said, polishing compound to brighten up the lenses will make them look great if you do it right. Before aftermarket companies started selling new Cobra replicas, I refurbished old GT/LX lenses to be replicas and sold them. Always came out great!
