stripped my taillight.

yeah the cover. mine was wood grain i love the 85-86 gt ones.

yeah wally world ftw

ok i took of my driver side tail light and striped it tonight and here is the out come. i love em it was worth the 7.54 or whatever it cost and the hour of my time.

my digital cam gives off a weird flash.

i think im going to put them on the stang tomorrow and see what they look like. my dad likes them and asked me to do his for him. im going to do his in silver though. anyone know where i can get the silver 1/8 striping tape at? napa only has black.

ok thanks. How much do you think it would cost to put Led's for my tail lights and reverse lights?

about 20-25 a bulb or can i get them for cheaper?

They will be dim as hell trust me. That black center bar in your taillight will block most of the light.

Been there...done that.


I heard you can wire in an H1 light bulb for the reverse lights. It will fit in the socket or something like that. I'm debating buying some cheap H1 HID bulbs and putting my HID kit in the reverse lights

so the stock bulbs are brighter then leds?

For the reverse lights yes, they don't have the same output as the regular bulb. Just not enough of them for a large sized bulb


The plate bulbs are smaller, so the LED's for those are easily brighter than stock

you can get 40' rolls in black, white, silver or red at auto zone for 2.99. i just got a few rolls today and some paint. i'm striping a couple sets right now too. just waiting for the paint to dry so i can stripe them.

i painted the trim semi-gloss black and i'm laying black pin stripes. yeah i have LX's on my car right now but i have a set of 86's i'm doing for myself and another set i'm doing for a friend. it's been 4 hours and the paint still isn't dry...it just went from like 68 degrees yesterday to like 27 right now. crappy weather for painting
