Guess you were not bright enough to look on my mods page and see i ran 11.60 with 481rwhp and a race wieght of 3610 on dot drag radials..
no i didn't look at your mods, mainly because i don't care what mods you have. i'm not gonna get into an internet pissing contest w/you guys about a stupid ass car. maybe you should update your avatar to your new best et then. sorry for my assumption.

11.60 w/481 rwhp is pretty lame, i guess that's why now you have 6whatever at the wheels.

my car was running 11.90s on nitto drs, in 100 degree heat, at 3600# with only 393 rwhp.

i guess your car is better than mine  , good luck w/king of the street.

Kidd wishes he never spent the money on his stroker. He thought it was a waste.

First, Yeah I have read about his car. Even though it would be a beast regardless if he stroked it or not. He had a hell of a tuner and what seems like an endless supply of money  I am glad to finally get my answer that a stroker is not worth the money. So I guess I'll stay with the stock stroke. What about boring??? Is it even worth it??? I guess I'll just wait for Kidd to do it, since he has done everything else, and get a review from him.

Never said my car was better or faster.I was just stating a fact, you never looked at the facts..As far as a new best dont have one..Car has not been to the track since last october..Really dont care how fast it is,its not a track car its a street car and personally dont care if my times are lame or not..

EDIT:just to add the original poster was asking about motors not who ran what with what...

You guys crack me up... Everyone says dont waste the money boring or stroking spend it on internals or heads and blah blah! I have a block bored out 30 over and i have all forged internals spring time it will go in. Now if your going to be naturally aspirated stroke it!!! If not dont! Simple as that! If you have the money to stroke a 4.6 you have the money for all the parts! But heads are the most important things on these 4.6! The right head and cam setup goes a long way!!! 600+ RWHP street car is bad@$$ Who cares about times when you have a dyno slip like that!!!

Has anyone ever actually seen a hp increase from stroking it? I know that boreing will increase hp for the reasons stated.

I have yet to see anyone gain hp or anyone show that you gain hp from just stroking it.

I wish the VT Comp. guys would show up and answer here. But I have never heard of how much, if anything you gain from stroking.

Anyone have rock solid evidence they can yield?

Thanks.

:nice: Exactly what I want to know???? Actual proof that boring and stroking helps.......

Now boring will get you good gains as the stock stroke is already sufficient.

With stock heads and cams, you'll gain tons of torque down low, but will loose power up top. The stock top end can't support the added stroke. BUT, we tell people to spend money on heads and cams before stroking an engine if they're staying n/a. Big bores are great too. For an n/a street car, big bores are nice, but so are strokers. All depends on your budget and application. Each person is going to require something different, whether it be strength of the parts, compression ratio's, etc.

just wondering...
doesnt a longer stroke rev slower, but give you more low end torque?
Kind of. It does reduce redline, but your valve train will hit it's redline before the bottom end does usually. It will increase torque not just in the low band, but in the whole band. Stroke is basically your engine mechanical advantage.
